Time for a new post

I have to say that the main reason I haven't posted on this blog in so long is because right now I prefer to be an ostrich with my head in the sand as far as politics goes. Have you ever felt like the only way you can deal with the stress from something is to completely ignore it? Well, that's just how I feel.

I have a sense of dread as the day approaches in which our next President will be sworn in. I couldn't care less what color he is, what charisma he possesses, ect. It's what he believes that truly worries me.

And I have to admit that I worry about our freedom of speech in the near future. Though I've never been aggressive or severe in my words, I'm still tempering what I do say.

I suppose some will think I'm simply crying wolf. Maybe so. I hope so.

But for now I simply don't want to think about it. The day will come soon enough.

I'm right there with you. I'm debating as to whether I should have the kids watch the happenings on the twentieth.

I'm with you. I have been praying for him since he was elected and will continue to, because whether I like it or not, he WILL be our next President and I feel that God didn't just call on me to pray for people I like. I know that He allowed the election to go the way it did for some reason. I'm hoping for the best (although honestly not actually expecting it) and hope we can use it as (just) 4 years to learn our lesson as to not vote on the "prettiest" or most "fast talking" of the choices.

Brandi: I have tried multiple times to comment on your blog, but it just won't take. I haven't had that problem on any other blogs lately, so I wanted to let you know in case it has something to do with your settings. Nice to have you drop by!

Kaye: I totally agree. We definitely should pray for our President, regardless of whether he was our particular choice. And if we merely learn to choose better, with no severe consequences to our freedoms, I will breathe a huge sigh of relief and thankfulness. I think I'm more worried this time because of his beliefs on socialism in education. We've been hearing rumblings of trouble for homeschoolers, and that's something that would definitely affect our particular family. I so hope that he's just another Bill Clinton,if you know what I mean.

I'll check that out sometime today. Things have been so busy around here that I have been reading some blogs but not posting or making very many comments.
