Update

I know I should (update, that is). But I have been putting my energy elsewhere lately.

Okay, not totally true. More like the frustration of the political landscape right now just makes me want to bury my head in the sand (and almost cast a vote for Hillary...almost).

I NEVER thought I would feel that desperate;)

No, I'm not a democrat ( my shocking revelation for the day), but I would do almost anything to aid the other alternative in NOT getting into office. Anything legal, of course;)

So our great state of Oregon has chosen Obama as their choice for the democratic candidate; I had nothing to do with that, so don't blame me in the future.

I am curious to see just how long Hillary holds out; she's a determined woman, you have to give her credit for that. And the white middle-class definitely seems to have a preference for her. It will be interesting to see how that affects things later on.

I think the Democrat party is rethinking its decision to support Obama, but they cannot figure out how to drop him now. It will be interesting to see how things pan out.

I wish I believed that Nikki, but I'm not so sure. I do think they will wish they had gone with Mrs.Clinton in retrospect; Obama's lack of experience will probably be a hindrance to the Democrats in the future. Plus the youth, of which he has a large following, seem to believe that whatever he says WILL be accomplished...just because he says so. Most of us are too enlightened to fall for that from EITHER side of the political spectrum. Regardless, once someone is in office, that's a long 4 years. There's still alot that can happen between now and November. Like you said...it will be interesting.

The polls show that McCain is likely to beat Obama if it comes down to those two. I take encouragement from that even if you cannot trust polls completely. Besides, studies also show that young people who initially support a candidate often do not get out and actually vote for him in the election. Regardless, we survived eight years of the Clintons, and we can survive Obama. Whatever happens, it is in God's hands, and He knows what He is doing.

Your comment about surviving Clinton made me chuckle; I remember when Clinton won his first term, how my father thought all was lost. Of course, we didn't know he had a little trouble focusing solely on his presidential activities...;) But yes, we did survive 2 terms of that.

I think if I didn't agree with Obama, but felt he was somewhat qualified, it wouldn't bother me so much. I really don't like Hilary, but have to admit she has been where few other candidates have: in the white house experiencing things first-hand.

And NO, that wasn't an endorsement of her, LOL:)

What do you think she wants now? She still hasn't conceded to Obama, and if I were him, I would NOT want her as my VP. There have been too many dead bodies around the Clintons.

What I love is how they'll do anything to make each other look bad during campaigning...but there is a quote by the Mrs. in the newspaper saying that "No matter what, he's my friend!" Good grief!!

Don't believe it, Angela. I'm sure that they absolutely hate each other. Especially now that Obama has taken away Hilary's bid for power. You know that is what she wants: power.

The wait is on...will Obama ask Hillary to be his running partner now that she is "scheduled" to bow out of the race? Many are putting pressure on him (and especially the committee that probably has the most sway).

I think they could win together, sad to say. But does Obama want her hanging around?

And an even bigger questian: Does he want Bill hanging around? Remember those overboard criticisms of Obama that he made...that might be good ammunition for McCain.

Obama would be a fool to have Hilary as his VP. I don't think he would last a year because she would find a way to bump him off so she could be head honcho, er, president.
